USING THE MAILING LISTS |

To join a mailing list, fill in your name and email address on the subscription page, tick the lists you want to subscribe to, and click the Subscribe button. For each mailing list that you select, you will receive an email message from Majordomo@kingfisher.gre.ac.uk, with a subject line of ‘Confirmation for subscribe <mailing-list-name>’. Follow the instructions in each of these messages to confirm your subscription. You will then receive a welcome message, and you will be able to send and receive messages from the mailing list. When someone sends a message to the list, it is re-sent to every subscriber. You can only send and receive messages from mailing lists that you have subscribed to. Replying to a message – please check the reply address When you reply to a message that has come from the list, be careful that you send your reply to the correct email address. When you click the
Reply button in your email software, you will probably find that the To:
address is filled in with address of the sender rather than the address
of the list. If you want to reply privately to the sender of the message, leave their address in the To: box. How to unsubscribe Send an email to "Majordomo@kingfisher.gre.ac.uk". The body of your message should be: unsubscribe <mailing-list-name> <your-email-address> Do not include anything else in the body of the message.
