Stephen AkroydStephen Akroyd leads the Rural and Natural Resources Policy Portfolio at Oxford Policy Management, UK. He is an economist with 14 years of experience of agriculture and rural development policy. His recent work has focused upon the analysis of public spending to agriculture, and support to governments in the preparation and costing of rural sector strategies in the context of Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers (PRSP) and Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) processes. His recent and current work includes preparation of the Agriculture Public Expenditure Review for Sierra Leone (funded by the World Bank), methodological support to the analysis of rural sector expenditures in Turkey (funded by the World Bank), and support to the preparation of a regional agricultural development plan in Armenia (funded by DFID).
